The Role

Reporting to Sealord’s National Field Sales Manager, this role is key within the North Island regional sales team, with responsibility for selling and managing the Sealord retail portfolio within all supermarkets in the designated sales territory. 

 

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for a motivated and driven individual who will have solid experience in a sales focused role to join our market leading sales team.  Your strong communication skills will be vital as you will be in constant communication with internal and external customers.  Customer focused and a dedicated team member, you will be passionate about our products and have the energy and determination to really want to make your mark.  Ideally, you will be an expert in planning and time management.

This role involves influencing key store management to maintain and grow sales, market share and profit.  Preferably this role should be based in Hamilton and covers several Foodstuffs, Woolworths and Mitre10s across the Waikato and Bay of Plenty territories.  Reporting to this position are approx. 4 part time merchandisers.  Key skills for this role are as follows:

            •           Previous sales experience - grocery industry not a pre-requisite

            •           Some understanding of the NZ supermarket industry

            •           Negotiation / Influencing skills

            •           Existing relationships with key customers

            •           An understanding of trade maths and Aztec data

            •           Self Motivated and the ability to work well with limited supervision

            •           A passion for sales
