The Role
Due to an internal advancement, we are looking for an experienced Accounts Payables Administrator to join our team based in Nelson. The role is varied and brings you into regular contact with all areas of the fishing business. Success here is essential for the smooth day to day running of the business and a highly motivated individual is required. This permanent, fulltime role operates normal business hours, Monday to Friday. Applicants need to be flexible as occasional variation to hours may be required as operational needs dictate.
Who we are looking for:
Our ideal applicant will be an experienced payables professional who enjoys taking ownership of their role and meeting deadlines. You are customer focused and a dedicated team member. You also pride yourself on speed, accuracy and attention to detail therefore the ability to work under pressure is essential.
To be successful in this role you will have mastered the technical aspects of all accounts payable functions and may have had experience with foreign currency transactions. Some experience with accounts receivable/bank reconciliation would be advantageous.
You will have sound computer literacy including experience with accounting software and basic Excel skills.
You are systems savvy with a “can do” attitude, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills that are essential due to the level of internal and external communications required across the business.
You will also need to have the ability to work in an open plan, productive environment within a collaborative team, manage multiple tasks effectively and build strong relationships.
