Merchandiser

Date: 29 Mar 2026

Location: NZ

Company: Sealord Group Ltd

Sealord is a global seafood enterprise with a world‑wide fishing, processing, and marketing network. Proudly New Zealand‑based, Sealord has long been a leader in the careful and sustainable management of fish and seafood resources. Our commitment to quality, people, and the oceans underpins everything we do.

We’re seeking a motivated Merchandiser to join our South Island team, supporting Sealord’s frozen and ambient (canned and pocket) product ranges across Pak’nSave and New World stores in greater Christchurch.

You’ll play a key role in delivering excellent in‑store presentation through cut‑carton merchandising and display builds, ensuring our products consistently stand out on shelf. The role is permanent part time for 6.5 hours per week (plus display hours when required) based across multiple supermarket locations.

  • Riccarton & Hornby Pak’nSave – Mondays and Thursdays
  • Halswell (Monday), Ilam & Fendalton (Thursday) New Worlds
  • Wigram & Lincoln New Worlds – display builds only, as required
  • Additional hours on Sundays during display weeks
  • Merchandising from 5:30/6:00am to meet store business requirements

What Are We Looking For?

  • Previous merchandising experience (FMCG preferred but not essential)
  • Strong communication skills
  • A customer‑focused, team‑oriented attitude
  • Passion for Sealord products
  • Good level of fitness and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift items up to 10kg
  • A full, clean driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle

Who Will Succeed in This Role?

You’ll be someone who takes pride in presentation, enjoys working independently, and thrives on being part of a wider team. Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll liaise regularly with stores and internal stakeholders.

This role could suit a parent returning to the workforce, or someone looking to supplement existing employment with additional hours.
