Sealord is a global seafood enterprise with a world-wide fishing, processing and marketing network. Sealord retains its home base in New Zealand and has led the seafood industry in the careful and sustainable management of fish and seafood resources.
You will be part of the South Island merchandising team and have a key role by undertaking in-store merchandising of our frozen and ambient (canned and pocket) products and display builds at various Pak n Save and New World stores in greater Christchurch. We have a great role available for the right candidate.
This role is permanent part-time, for up to 9.25 hours per week each (plus extra hours on Sunday nights for display weeks) - to be in store early mornings (some Pak n Save stores to be merchandised require a 5.30am start) to meet the requirements of the business. The successful candidate will undertake “cut carton merchandising” and have sharp presentation skills and an eye for detail. The role covers Moorhouse, St Martins, Wainoni and Papanui Pak n Saves and displays builds at Durham Street, Ferry Road, Prestons, Stanmore and Northwood New Worlds when required.
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience in merchandising preferably in FMCG however this is not essential.
- Strong communication skills.
- Customer focused and a dedicated team member.
- Passionate about our products.
- Reasonable level of fitness.
- Ability to lift heavy grocery items – up to 10kg.
- A current full clean driver’s license and have use of a personal motor vehicle.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with previous experience in merchandising preferably in FMCG however this is not essential. Your strong communication skills will be vital as you will be in constant communication with internal and external customers. Customer focused and a dedicated team member, you will be passionate about our products and have the energy and determination to really want to make your mark. You may be a parent wanting to return to the work force or someone who has other employment and wants to pick up extra hours.
