Currently, we're looking to add to our team of 1,200 employees and have opportunities for  a 1st Marine Engineer for FV Tokatu, the newest vessel in the Sealord fleet, built to our specifications and joining the company in 2018.

 

You will have a MEC 5 or 4/3 qualification along with proven experience in managing the mechanical and electrical performance of the vessel’s propulsion, fishing, processing and ancillary systems in a safe and efficient manner, self-motivated to work independently with excellent problem solving skills and a commitment to preventative maintenance systems. You will have a current Maritime Medical or be able to pass one.

Trip lengths on the vessel is between 35-45 days and crew operate on a trip on, trip off rotation, the hours of work are generally done in shifts of 12 hours, PPE is supplied, and all meals provided by our experienced cook.
