Established in 1961, Nelson Sealord is half owned by the Māori people of New Zealand, through Moana New Zealand (Aotearoa Fisheries Ltd), and half owned by global seafood company Nippon Suisan Kaisha, Ltd (Nissui).  Sealord is one of the largest quota holders in New Zealand with partners and subsidiaries around the world through Nissui’s global links.  Sealord Group has fishing operations, which include all deep-water fishing activities as well as international and joint venture deep fishing activities, in New Zealand and Australia.

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Baader Engineer to join the team at Sealord. A High performer with at least 5 years of experience within a white fish manufacturing environment. You must be flexible in working rotational shifts.

 

Our ideal person will ideally possess the following attributes:

  • Baader Diploma Qualification OR Mechanical  or Engineering Trade Qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years experience within a white fish production maintenance environment
  • Strong Knowledge of Baader machines (192 and 212), their components, and functionality
  • Experience in the repair and maintenance of automated processing and packaging equipment
  • Proactive attitude towards plant maintenance
  • Ability to work independently, while also collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Unwavering commitment to health and safety, fostering a culture of absolute well-being
